KUSMS is running following subjects in MD/MS program at Kathmandu University and its affiliated colleges as constitute program.

MD/MS (Clinical Science including Pathology)

  3. General Surgery
  4. Internal Medicine
  5. Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  6. Ophthalmology
  7. Orthopaedics
  8. Oto-rhinolaryngology
  9. Paediatrics
  10. Pathology
  11. Psychiatry
  12. Radio Diagnosis

MD/MS (Basic Medical Sciences and Forensic Medicine)

  1. Anatomy
  2. Biochemistry
  3. Community Medicine
  4. Forensic Medicine
  5. Microbiology
  6. Pharmacology
  7. Physiology
  1. MBBS or equivalent degree in modern medicine form an institution recognized by Kathmandu University and one year of clinical experience after obtaining Nepal Medical Council Registration.
  2. Registration with Nepal Medical Council.
  1. MBBS or equivalent degree in modern medicine from an instiution recognized by Kahtmandu University .
  2. For the subject of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Physiology, candidates who have completed bridge course after BDS can also apply.
  3. Registration with Medical Council.

Entrance Test for MD/MS will be conducted by the Medical Education Commission (MEC), Government of Nepal and selection will be done as per MEC guidelines by MEC.

A. Clinical Sciences (including Pathology):

Total Tuition Fee: NRs. 23,81,760 /-
Tuition fee for foreign nationality will be 1.6 times of Nepalese nationality.

B. Basic Sciences (including Forensic Medicine):

Total Tuition Fee: NRs. 10,85,870/-
Tuition fee for foreign nationality will be 1.6 times of Nepalese nationality.
