Workshops on Writing Articles for Publication in International Peer-Reviewed Journals for Health & Social Sciences Researchers in Nepal (14-17 September 2021)

About the Workshop
We are organising a workshop for early career researchers working across various Universities in Nepal to encourage and support them to publish in high impact journals. The workshop is designed to develop essential skills in writing articles in order to increase researchers’ chances of placing their work in scholarly journals, to the benefit of their academic profile and career prospects. The workshop will also include a session on grant writing, which will be presented by one of our multiple grant winners. While this workshop will provide participants with plenty of time to network and engage with academicians and editors from the UK, a planned follow-up event will help them to continue engagement with academicians and also ensure that the researchers work on finalising their papers.

The workshop will a mixture of presentation, discussion, interactive exercises, independent writing tasks, together with extensive handouts for reference. The workshop involves practical sessions to help attendees to make their research idea clear and compelling to reviewers, and finalise their papers for publications. One-to-one sessions with our expert mentors will allow attendees to work through different aspects of their own research papers, methods and ideas.
The workshop will be a hybrid design enabling both online and residential hosted at Dhulikhel Hospital Kathmandu University Hospital (DHKUH).
